Thank you for your service to this great country Sarge, but you are wrong as to why oil/gas is suddenly falling. We can thank the Olympics for finally getting here. Futures are based on a month out and the fact that China is no longer hoarding deisel fuel to make electricity is the main reason oil/gas is now falling. Coal is China's main way of producing electricity, but is the absolute worst on enviroment. When the IOC told them to clean the air or lose the Olympics, they halted all coal factories. Started using deisel fuel, which is one of the cleanest outside of solar and wind. It is also, unfortunatly, the most expensive way to produce electricity. Now that they can go back to their old ways of polluting their country and the world, deisel is not in such high demand. I may not have as many degrees as you, but, my family and I have worked for our power company since 1978. I'm a greenhorn compared to my other family members, but have a first hand knowledge of the way electricity is produced. This is a major reason oil/gas went up and a main reason it is now suddenly coming down.
