i've been on this site since 2006, watching reviews, uploading amvs when they were big, joining factions and making friends who i'm still in contact with today....i can't really believe this is the end of the best gaming website out there, tbh it hurts, badly...i just want to say to all of you it's been fun, and it's been real... i'm really gonna miss this place, and the people that have built it :( | |

Yeesh, talk about shocking news. :( Anyways, it's been fun. And worst comes to worst (GT forums don't get migrated elsewhere in the Defy system, for example) I'll see you when I see you. Steam nick's ChaosBahamut (http://steamcommunity.com/id/chaosbahamut/) if you want to chat/game/whatever. (a word of warning, not so good with 1 on 1 chats so forgive me if I'm rusty) And in case anyone's curious/thinking we were hiding anything, we found out pretty much the same time you guys did. And from the looks of it, the GT staff didn't have much warning either. :( | |

Well we had a good ride while it lasted. I recently signed up on the IGN forums as -Jak- . Guess that's going to be my primary forum home for now. And its pretty active. No regrets at all with returning to GT, or originally signing up back in 2009. And I cherished the awesome users I met throughout the years. While we may not have had the active communitiy of years ago. There was still a welcoming and loving gaming community to socalize with. Glad to have met everyone who I bumped into since 2009. And it turns out many of us did after all stay till the end. Not that I'm upset others didn't. I thank everyone for the civilized debates. Comradery, participating in the threads I and others made. I hope the staff finds new jobs elsewhere. And may you all be blessed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. | |

This is so extremely sad, because if you guys had idea of how much i learned in this site about games in general, so much games i played because i read it in here, so much cool stuff, and the biggest of all, made some awesome friends that even today i play sometimes, it helped improve my english a lot, (i never took english classes, and learn to communicate with everyone in here helped me so much to improve it) I saw this site change so much over the years and i know that what it is right now it's not even close to what it was when it had a amazing active community, it was absurd, so many people used to visit the forums...anyway,i had a amazing time in here, wish everyone the best. | |
Remember I knew GT back in 2004 when the only way to see a videogame trailers was to download, remember downloading from GT one of the first RE4 (after the switch to third person view) and bring amazed, also downloading the TGS snake eater trailer in Japanese, and when I downloaded FFXIII and MGS4 E3 06 trailers in HD a whole night, my PC couldn't even play it without freezing. Then I lurked into the forums for like a year before I register in 07, my first online forum and didn't started posting until 08 I guess. Of the memories. | |

Best bet is maybe an internet archive. All the users that probably saved all that stuff on their computer are long gone. And the database was wiped clean of most pre 2011 posts. | |
