I was in middle school when I started coming to GT regularly, now I'm a college grad. When I got my first computer my dad set the homepage to GT as a joke because I spent so much time on here.

Lots of good memories of E3s, console releases, huge games and forum antics.. I'm sad to see it go

I was about 14 when is first made my account (8 years ago), so sad to see GT go without warning so immediately.

Gametrailers.com has been where I basically was introduced to the internet-subsequently being a safe haven from Gamefaqs durring my fiascos of being banned all the time due to Noobyness.

Before disippearing from this place, the memories that were formed from the charismatic Staff and Moderators that really kept things lighthearted and fun through the once in a while Duck Hunter XXXX or Xenosaga 2 reviews, to the hall of fame Forum posts and the simple go get-em honest character of Gaming News-and thoughts reporting, this site really left an impact with how they cared for each gamer they were graced with as views(even taking to little weekly series where they discussed serious gaming topics brought up by many here back in the days).

Gametrailers, you've been such an amazing website, Team, and people.
Hope each and everyone one of your staff members(and janitors) are able to quickly land fun filled jobs elsewhere.

Some of these posts have made me so upset. In a good and bittersweet way. The Xbox Rulez post, the USA thread, the old layout.

I joined this website when I was 12 for goodness sakes. Now I'm 21 and still here just reflecting on my middle school video game days. So sad to see the website go.

I could probably post more but I'm running out of time. SOCOM Faction had some great times. Mercs faction too. :( :(

I suggest we all join the GT community group on Steam. Then we could organize from there.

Should mention in less than a year, our site traffic dramatically dropped globally by almost 10,000, in comparison to other websites. With the most recent nosedive shortly after the new site came up with all its problems.

Still, we lived to see a day where GT wasn't completely dead and void of activity. But still had active communities even with a global ranking near of #17,772. For those that are done with forums as was discussed in the past, I wish you well. And others who will migrate elsewhere, I hope you find enjoyment in communities elsewhere. But most of all, God bless you all. And may you all do well in life.

Well... Shit happens. I just read this via Kotaku and I can't still believe it. GT disappears just like... tears in the rain. I'll miss a bunch of people from this site.
