I must admit that the first trailer interrested me, however...
The demo came out, I tried it and I was shocked.
Never before had I seen a very succesfull series like this one fall to its knees like this.
The serie was really good.
In my opinion the best NFS was Underground 2
(I hated that free roaming was limited in Most Wanted since the cops would always come after you when you were enjoying a nice drive through town, otherwise I would have picked that one.)
But it all started to go downhill with Carbon. EA just tried to put way to many visual effects into an engine which couldn't handle it, which meant that the FPS on the average PC was sh*t.
After I upgraded to a way better gaming rig I was already disappointed to notice the lower framerate was actually a really good thing because, it kinda hid the fact that the control over your car was absolutely terrible.
Now back to the beginning of my post, I played the demo, and the thing that was so shocking was the fact that the developers actually managed to let the cars handling be even worse.
I've played GTR which is a really realistic racing game, so I'm used to controlling a car very delicately, but the control in this game has nothing to do with finesse, it's just awfull.
I would discribe the handling as driving a 3 ton truck on bicycle wheels, the steering is incredably slow and it feels like there is no grip on the road whatsoever.
Hence, in my opinion worst racing game for PC I've ever played.
