To be honest I think 360 owners are more than sorted when it comes to racing games; Flatout UC, Test Drive U, NFS, Burnout, Sega Rally, Ridge Racer, Juiced 2, Colin McRae: DIRT, PGR 3 & 4, Forza 2 etc. And Wii owners will be getting 12 player Mario Karts online, so I doubt anyone else is crying and the only loser is you for being such a narrow-minded fanboy and having such a blinkered view, i.e. "anything that isn't on PS3 must be rubbish"!

Technical damage is surely what makes a true simulation, if there is no consequence to bumping off another car or a wall at 80 mph then you will not care if this happens or how often you do it. If however you are aware that a bad shunt or knock will affect your steering or slow your top speed, the way you drive will change accordingly. you will be more careful to brake and not bump other cars, you will be more selective on where you overtake, the speeds at which you enter certain corners etc. So yes damage is a big part of a driving simulator and if that's what GT claims to be than it needs to move with the times and implement a good damage system, not just cosmetically but technically.
