Why Obama invited Rick Warren

Gay rights groups are angry that President-elect Obama has invited Rick Warren to give the invocation at his inauguration, and I can't blame them. Warren has compared homosexuality to pedophilia and said gay marriage endangers freedom of speech, both of which are absurd.

But Obama told reporters in Chicago that America needs to "come together," even when there's disagreement on social issues. "That dialogue is part of what my campaign is all about," he said.

Faith Based Voting

From this MSNBC poll results page for the Iowa primary we know that 60% of the Republican voters were evangelical or born-again Christians, and 46 percent of them voted for Huckabee. He received only 14% of the votes from the other 40% of the Republicans who participated.

UPDATE; I no longer believe Huck is a good guy. I believe he is a devious opportunist who is very dangerous and needs to be out of the race. I hope the country has the sense to keep him down. SC, I fear you! :P
