For the first time in olympic history, the U.S.A. mens curling team won a metal in curling!

Every Olympics I get excited when I read about the athletes who are Americas best shot at winning medals. It was around the opening ceremonies when I started to see news about Bode Miller and I thought he would be the Michael Phelps of the winter games.

There were some eye-opening remarks from Bryant Gumbel on the most recent episode of HBO's Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel. According to a transcript posted by a television columnist named Seth Frelich, Gumbel said the following in his closing monologue last week (emphasis mine):

"In a recent SportsNation poll, 47 percent of voters said they didn't watch any Olympics coverage this past weekend. Not even the opening ceremony!"
