Scottrade will accept and process orders between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET.
Investment Minimum CDs trade in denominations from $1,000 up to $100,000. The minimum investment amount at Scottrade is $5,000.
You must have an Internet account with Scottrade before you can place a corporate bond order on the Internet.
To buy municipal bonds from your Scottrade account, cash representing the purchase amount must be in the account before an order can be accepted.
To place a U.S. Treasury Bond order, log into your account and click the Trade tab at the top of the page.
To buy U.S. Treasury securities from your Scottrade account, click on the Trade tab at the top of the page. Next, click on CDs & Bonds on the left side menu.
To place a Preferred Security order, click the Trade tab and choose CDs & Bonds.
