  • It's interesting that it's something that hasn't happened since 1950. That seems to coincide with when hurricanes were last at a peak (1930-1950's). Perhaps related to the 80 year solar cycle?

  • The only money shot into space is what the crew carries. All of the money spent on the space program is spent on earth to pay workers to make the vehicles, write software, and many other tasks. I look at spending on the space program as sort of like spending money for education.
