Barely an hour after President Barack Obama invited congressional Republicans to post-election talks to work together on major issues, the Senate's GOP leader had a blunt message: His party's main goal is denying Obama re-election.

"The only way to do all these things it is to put someone in the White House who won't veto any of these things," McConnell said in a speech to the conservative Heritage Foundation.

McConnell AND the conservative Heritage Foundation are idiots whose only goal is to harm our country and make the wealthy wealthier!

This isn't the first time McConnell said this...

MCCONNELL: We need to be honest with the public. This election is about them, not us. And we need to treat this election as the first step in retaking the government. We need to say to everyone on Election Day, “Those of you who helped make this a good day, you need to go out and help us finish the job.”

NATIONAL JOURNAL: What’s the job?

MCCONNELL: The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president...

...This morning, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough was floored by McConnell’s open admission that his single most important goal is to defeat Obama. “Mitch McConnell said that?!? … He admitted that on the record?!? That is embarrassing,” he said. “Can I just say for the record – that is pathetic.”

McSpocky, I said the same thing in other posts, the rich corporation have figured out they don't need middle class workers anymore to keep getting richer. The Republican Party have now become tools of the Heritage Foundation, the Republican Fox News Network, Rush Limbaugh and other conservative media outlets. These organizations have created a large "Groupie" like base that believe anything they say. Therefore what's left of the few moderate Republicans, will be crushed by these media groups if they say or do anything that challenges their authority.

Their groupies are more like cult members actually... They'll do or say anything they are told. They're Teapublican cult followers.

Senate's GOP leader had a blunt message: His party's main goal is denying Obama re-election.

That should be a non-partisan goal, one for all true Americans. Regardless of Party affiliation, a bad president is a bad president, especially one that does not know how to be a leader. A bad president should be removed from office as expediently as elections allow.

And when we had the bad President, Bush, people failed to do that. We should be thankful we now have a good President!

We haven't had a good president since Reagan. Before that, you have to all the way back to Truman. Since this imbecile has hit rock bottom for leadership and has shows signs of digging, I'm thankful for the fact that most Americans see him for the post turtle he is, and that we don't have to live with him for life.

Reagan was one of the worst Presidents of the 20th century. He started our country on a downhill course with his trickle on economics. (voodoo economics) Our country has never recovered from that big mistake.

President Obama has higher approval ratings than Reagan or Clinton at the same time during their Presidencies, so luckily many Americans do not agree with you.

Reagan was the worst president we have ever suffered through. His demented fiscal and trade policies are the root cause of our financial problems.

Approval ratings are bologna, just because people like someone doesn't mean he's doing a good job for the nation. Obama inherited a huge mess but has done nothing of substance to fix it - all he has done is throw money at it, increasing the national debt to never before seen levels. In fact he was too busy micromanaging the military and ramming Obamacare down our throats to pay attention to the number one priority that he should have started to fix - the economy. Obama is lost. He has no idea what to do as president, he has no clue as to how he actually got there and wonders who the idiots are that put him there in the first place. I can give him an answer to the third question - people who blindly voted the party line rather than research and vote intelligently. Had they done so, he never would have made it through the primaries. The smart choices were Clinton and Romney, at least they know what the heck they are doing.

People made the best choice, and Obama has been a good President. He would have been an even better President, if Republicans had not been such obstructionists.

I'm no longer going to reply to you, Chief CRD, since it is obvious that you are not here for a discussion but to troll the threads. Have a nice day.

I think he has a better chance now to be the President he was suppose to be. I'm not politcally voiced, but I prefer a 50/50 or a 55/45 in Washington. That way, I get what I want!!

Obvious? Really. Then you must not be listening - I have made valid points and expressed in the opinions of many. Based upon your actions (and your violently crude title) your definition of discussion is you laying down the law and if there is a dissenting viewpoint or if someone comes along and and expresses an opinion and ideals that you don't agree with, they are just trolling. You know what, I had a nice day, and will continue to do so. You too.

I am glad the people see obama for what he is...someone who wants to kill and enslave americans. he wants to destroy the middle class and keep the poor poor.

all he is about is himself and the rich.

its time to get him out...like yesterday.

wtf. Obama, is a democrat. it's the republicans that cater to the rich, and it was the republicans that said no to tax cut extensions unless it includes the rich

what is just one thing Obama did to support you statement. that doesn't apply 10x as much to the GOP? sounds like you are just spouting what you heard someone say

The GOP wants the poor poorer, (who is suggesting min wage be abandoned ) and the rich richer. ( no taxes on the rich, so they bank it, and not invest in jobs.

most conservatives dislike Obama, because the see every liberal program as making the rich poor, by helping the poor be less poor, and calling it *ism (pick any ism and use in derogatory manner )

I want to know why ya'll dems let Nancy Pelosi take impeachment of Bush and Cheney off the table?

I think the answer is because they are all the same every last one of them critters up in DC. I think every president for the past 20 years deserves to have been impeached and some of them probably should be in prison.
