I've said it before - the worst thing that could happen to the safety of the American worker is Rand Paul, and others who share his vision of deregulation.

I was first tipped off about this by Killfile's seed, but while I was researching, it has gotten all over the internet. You can view KillFile's seed and the discussion that resulted from it here. This resolution, H.Con.Res.13, was sponsored by Rep. J.

I was trying to configure ScribeFire to work with NewsVine. I'm not sure how to configure it or if it is even possible to use any blog editor plugin on the Vine. Would appreciate some techy advice that the techy-impaired can understand! Any takers?

Okay, the time has come to pass the reigns to someone else who still has a stomach for the Vine. I'm not it. I think I've given myself sufficient time to get the fire back and it seems it really isn't coming back.

Let's have some fun. Someone cited the song "Indiana Wants Me" in their response on one of my seeded articles. That song is one of my all-time favorites. As I was typing a response, other much-loved crime songs began to pop into my head.

Mastodon bones found in a coal mine slurry pit 30 miles south of Terre Haute, IN. Kudos to Vectren for doing the RIGHT thing and notifying the Division of Reclamation archaeologist about the find even though there are no paleontology rules governing mining in Indiana.

So oddly enough I wondered where my pals wmolaw and kyanabelle had been lurking lately. While posting a similar "missing you" comment on his column, I spy this perfect avatar lurking there and it's, it's, it's Kyanabelle in all her eye-rolling glory! You look so much like one of my best friends in that photo. She's my dermatologist and I have an appt in an hour, in fact. Truly, it's the perfect NV avatar and so accurately expresses how I feel much of the time anymore.
=) Please surface soon. I've missed our debates and you and I hope you're well.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments. My world and the rest of the world is a much better place with you in it. Keep up the good work

Kyana, your articles are always well-written, thoughtful, and inspiring in both thought and action. I always look forward to reading what you have to share, and appreciate what you have helped create here at Newsvine. Thank you!

Call her Duck! My sister has always been very intelligent and loves to debate. The debating part comes from Daddy. I briefly read her explanation of her KyanaBelle, which I figured that is how she came up with it, but she is The Duck! You can ask Daddy. She has always pulled on lips and when she was little she would start puckering for a kiss from across the room. Daddy thought they looked like a duck's bill thus he called her Duckie. Then I was born and what to they name me Robin. This led to the Duck and Bird being created and even though we are in are late 40's, he still calls us that.
What a thoughtful comment you left me, KyanaBelle! I am happy that you are my first.
Yes, we all need friends and I am very pleased to have you as one too.
I still can't seem to strike a good balance for reading, posting and writing something of value. I think the 2008 Election has something to do with it.--Charlie Courtois
KyanaBelle, she is very aware of what is going on in the world and especially in her own country and is not afraid to look in the mirror. Always with some helpful hints where she can. A Viner which dedication.
Sorry I was so slow in finding your column. You are a welcome addition to Newsvine and I'm glad to have you as a friend.

What a lovely comment you left me, KyanaBelle! It was so very generous of you to take the time to drop in for a spot of British tea! Wonderful to have your company and your uplifting words. Thanks for being a great friend. Hope your day is going beautifully. :o)
I enjoy finding you on the boards-your comments are intelligent and intuitive, and you seem to have a very calming influence on other commenters.
KyanaBelle:
Wish I had seen many of your posts earlier! Now it will take me forever to get through them, but they will be worth the time.

Ahhhhh, my first friend. Thank you so much.
