Pope Francis called an Italian woman, whose lover was urging her to get an abortion. The woman wrote to the Pope asking him for guidance after she found her fiancé was already married with a family of his own. The pope assured her that the child was a gift from God. The woman told the pontiff that she was worried priests would refuse to baptize her child. But the Pope said he would do it if she couldn’t find anyone else. The woman told the Pope she would name her child Francis if she has a boy.
