My neice is a huge fan of the Silent Hill Series, Beyond Good and Evil, plus she loves FPShooters. But my Girlfriend is more into fighting games like Tekken, and puzzle games, plus currently she is working on Metal Gear Solid. So I think the generalization of women gamers is just blurred

I acually know a good amount of girls that like video games. I even know one girl that can beat about 3 of my guy friends at a game of Halo (SHE IS A CHEERLEADER TOO!!!). She really likes video games, but she doesnt play them that much. There are other girls that say
they "Dont like video games", but after i have let them play games like GH, DDR, Mario Party, ect, say they had alot of fun. Some of them think that Video Games suck, but when i have let them play a game like Halo, they acually like it. Now given they dont like it they die so much (which is because they havent ever really played a video game before NOT that they are girls). I think that its just something that some people (Guys, and girls included) will NEVER like playing video games, and other people, (MOSTLY girls) will say they dont like video games just cause they really have never played them.

Well. My thoughts on this is that the reason most women (specifically girls, around age 18, younger, etc.) don't play so many games because they are obviously attracted to casual and party games. Things like Guitar Hero, and Wii Sports.

As much as I love to be the bearer of bad news, I fear that the rise in casual gaming, thanks to the Wii, may actually result in something in all honesty, terrible for games.

The Wii will no doubt be a huge success this generation, which will of course attract a flock of casual gamers. Which.. Of course would nod developers that it's a change in the market. The Wii has made an enormous profit all ready, and sadly, might result in another gaming crash. In which casual games will be continually made, hardcore gamers forgotten.

Just my two cents.

I Think next time in BONUS ROUND they SHOULD discuss topic about CAREER in SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING and ENGINEERING. Because most of the game players are students, so why not talk about it.....
