Serpent90 said: I agree compleetley! Howeever I also think that Halo, COD 4 and Turok (I know, but don;t bite my head off if you haven't played it on-line yet. I mean common! How many other FPS games out there make such brilliant use of the knife like Turok does. Or, for that matter, the presence of a 3rd A.I. controled party <*The dinos*&rt; that will attack everyone. That game mixed things up a bit.) And like Portal and the rest of "The Orange Box" it goes to show that graphics don't always make or break a game. World of WarCraft is proof of this as well.
I completely understand because I would never rant about how much Halo sucks/blows etc because it doesn't! It's just so much fun. What I'm saying is we've gotten to the point where we have pretty much mastered the shooter and we can believe that they're all gonna be fun in there own way. I just think that we need to breathe some new life into the industry as there beginning to consume the market. Yes I think there fun but we need something new, I mean just look at Portal a little puzzle game with some shooter aspects! It comes out and everyone suddenly falls in love with the game. A little innovation never hurt anyone.

Wow , I don't think the PS3 will be outselling the 360. It may sell some more in some months than the 360, maybe when MGS4 comes out. but in the long run 360 still has more consoles in gamers hands than the PS3, and the 360 needs a cool down year after last years crazy releases of so many AAA games!

julsnice said: -CONTROLS ARE GETTING WAY TOO COMPLICATED!I don't see why there's 50 million FPS games yet almost all of them control differently. And like he said in the video learning to play these games is like learning a new language (cough Madden cough).-All these sequels that cater to gamers who're already familiar with the characters, worlds and stories needs to stop. Honestly, just cause a game is popular and sold millions doesn't mean everybody knows about them. They need to start filming recaps of previous games to put on the discs of sequels so they can pull in a bigger audience.

Thats why games come with manuals...

one particular problem in gaming today is the price of gaming, the 360 is great but its 400$, ten years ago the saturn was that price and everyone said it was overpriced, now that the normal price for a console ?

MasterExploder said: I think one of the biggest problems in games is first person shooter, or most hyped shooters in general. Don't get me wrong I love the genre and I think it's hella fun. But there is just too many. I want some innovation and something that feels new. I'm beginning to think that they're making them just so they make a profit. I'm praying that games like Spore and LittleBigPlanet breathe some new life into the industry. Oh and I think the biggest step forward for Shooters this year is Portal because it is amazing and deserves every ounce of praise it gets.

I think you have a good point, but I disagree that that's the main problem. I don't think over-saturation is a problem just yet, but It could be, which is why we need more fresh games ideas like Little bigplanet.
