The former playstation 1 classic exclusive Final Fantasy 9 is gonna come to PC (and smartphone apparently) in 2016 square enix's has announced, all I have to say to that is: ALL HAIL THE PC MASTER RACE!

This is pretty much a sure sign that the japanese have realized the potential of the PC market and are gonna capitalize on it for sure, I'm pretty confident now that FFX/FFX-2 and FFXII will come to PC at some point, and needless to say FF15 as well, thoughts?

According to a steamdb leak X/X2 along with other japanese games(such as EDF 4.1 and Danganronpa) will also be making their way to steam

It's been proven multiple times that there is a market for these games so yeah ff15 is more or less confirmed at this point.SE would be stupid to ignore this.

I have no doubt in my mind that X, X-2, XII and XV will come to PC. The Final Fantasy franchise is going full blown multiplatform and I saw it coming a mile away as soon as they ported over FFXIII.

I really hope they can bring over the Kingdom Hearts franchise as well.

Japanese companies are finally starting to realize how profitable steam can be.

x/x-2 HD and XII HD are two huge reasons I want a ps4, if it comes to PC, I may have to rethink purchasing a ps4.

It is very likely they will come but only time will tell, however If you want those games in (especially in HD) then you can emulate them on PC ;) (provided you have a good enough rig to handle it of course) If you want a PS4 I think your money would be better invested on focusing more on PS4 exclusives (but thats just my opinion).

Meh, it's not 2008 anymore. I remember when Square first announced XIII for the 360. That's when people really lost their shit.

Yep, we'll get nothing but pixelated shit until the day Square completely re-creates every asset from scratch. Which I doubt will ever happen. Just gotta learn to accept the games the way they are I guess.

XII HD was leaked, twice, just no official confirmation. Its bout as confermed as you can be without actually conferming it. though there has been nothing to suggest it being on steam.

I'm hoping it will be good. I like the art and concept and I wanna try out the binaural recording. I hear the psychological elements are pretty on the nose and superficial, though, and the combat doesn't look good.

Got any link? I've seen some of those developer diaries and they do work with psychologists at least, that's about all I know.

Glad this one is coming to Steam as well, this is the only Final Fantasy game that I never finished, so I'm glad to take another crack at it.

I recently finished it on my emulator. But it is so good to see they are bringing it out on pc, been wanting it for so long.
