Nintendo is doomed. | |
Anyone catch the PS4 price rumour, their Indian HQ had a price up which has now been pulled for a basic model, a German website converted it into Euros which it landed at about 399, that's $514 for anyone in America. That's about 160 more then the U premium in the US and 100 more in the EU.
Nintendo need cut price if thats is true.
Why would Nintendo need a price cut if its $200 cheaper?
not just almost 200 quid cheaper but 200 cheaper then the basic model most retailers aren't even selling the U at it's RRP in fact it's around 50-100 quid cheaper then it's RRP depending on which retailer.
ehh basic set cost 300 dollars.. and Ps4 399 if that rumors is true..
You are indeed correct, Noobality. Unfortunately for Beetleking. Not all people are able to comprehend the basic principles of mathmatics like addition & subtraction. Sad really.
PS4's basic will be $514 if the rumour is true.
You got me | |
Its not that I dont know mathmatics.. it because Im Im igronat..
| |
Okay I dont know mathematic and Im igronat..
Ahh Im not talking about dollars.. Im talking about euros.. So its going to cost 400 euros.. and ooh Wii u 200.. Mah bad..
Easily done, man. No worries, at least you were man enough to admit you had made a mistake. Thou art an honourable soul indeed. Respect.
Good lord you'd think MS changed their name to Nintendo with the chaos that has broken out.
Chaos? *tumbleweed passes* The Ninty forums have never been so chilled out & relaxed. I could easily get used to this.
I meant the chaos outside.
I frequent the Gamefaq Wii U broad and man it's so much nicer now with the announcement of the XOne. Before it was just negative thread after negative thread ans now it just positive threads. it's so nice not being attacked for once.
You should see the reaction to Harrison's tweet, it's funny because as said before the U doesn't seem so dead to some critics now. Edit: Nintendo's Stock rose as well.
Microsoft have gone insane. Nothing they showed was impressive as far as eye candy goes, they showed bugger all games anyway in the first place. The console itself needs some curvy corners and now we've heard that you not only have to pay a fee for used games but you're forced to install the ENTIRE FUCKING BLU-RAY to the hard drive before you can play the bloody thing...and that 500GB hard drive is going to fill up FAST. You could of course install the disc to the Cloud but, at least in the UK, broadband isn't fast enough yet to make that anything less than a headache. And on top of that people with bandwidth limits are going to be well and truly fucked. Christ on a fucking bike, Microsoft have fucked this up more than Nintendo did. Unbelievable. Edit: I'd also like to add that I'm expecting the One to retail for $499.99 in the States and £449.99 here in the UK. Retailers have it for pre-order for £399.99 over here but that's going to go up before launch imo.
So...when do you all think DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM threads will begin for the Nextbox?
Wow it took forever to download Resident Evil Revelation. Well finally played it all the way to chapter 2.
Give it about 3 months after launch when it's not selling the same amount as the 360 is each week despite the latter being cheaper and more established.
Hey guys: Nintendo Life: Could you tell us what makes the Wii U version of Sniper Elite V2 so different to last year's version? Jason Kingsley: Sniper Elite has always been about letting players think carefully about how to execute their missions - marking patrols, planning the perfect vantage point, setting traps to defend your position...but the Wii U's GamePad really dials up the tactical elements of the game and makes them that much more satisfying. Using the GamePad a player can now track the exact positions of any patrols they've 'tagged' in real-time, and locate any explosives they've set - in fact the map even tells you the diameter of their explosions, so you can work out exactly when to set them off for maximum carnage! These are all things you can't do on the current console and PC versions. The fact that it's all at a glance too - rather than hidden away in a menu - means you can react quicker. That'll come in handy because the game can get pretty tough if you're spotted! JK: I think one of my favourite features though is one of the most subtle - players can now see their character's BPM on the GamePad without looking down the scope of their sniper rifle. As any Sniper Elite fans reading this will know, that heart rate is really important when it comes to making precision shots, so it's a massive advantage to see this it a glance - it'll change the way players manage their movement, and combat. NL: Did you have chance to factor in user feedback from the 360, PS3 and PC versions of the game? JK: We've been listening to feedback from our fans since V2's release day - we've got a very vocal community online, which is why we've continued to support the game with updates, fixes and DLC before we even thought about the Wii U version. NL: How long has it taken to port the game to the Wii U? JK: The great thing about our proprietary in-house engine, Asura, is that it's specifically built to be easily adaptable to new platforms so the process was quicker than we expected. NL: Has any of the DLC been included in the Wii U edition? JK: No - we're concentrating on making sure the core game is as good as it can be. NL: How have you found the Wii U hardware? JK: We really enjoyed bringing games like Rogue Trooper to the original Wii, and we're finding Wii U is another great piece of kit. Needless say, the GamePad offers something completely new to developers that you just don't see elsewhere. Also, just from a personal perspective as a gamer, I love the feel of the GamePad as a controller - it's just so much lighter and more comfortable than you expect for something packed with so many features. NL: Has the conversion process been straightforward? JK: We're lucky because we have a lot of experience making games for different platforms, so I think we were already in a great position to bring V2 to Wii U. A large part of this down to the team that work on Asura - it's really flexible and works on all sorts of platforms, from smartphones to high end PCs...and now Wii U of course. We're really proud of it! NL: Do you find the Wii U to be more powerful than the 360 and PS3? JK: In a word yes - it's very capable, and we're taking advantage of this to bring greater graphical fidelity to the Wii U version of Sniper Elite V2. NL: If you had the chance to build the game from the ground up for the Wii U, would you make any more changes? JK: It's too hard to say at this stage - I think our use of the GamePad for Sniper Elite: V2 on Wii U is already a big step forward for the series. NL: What's it been like working with 505 Games? JK: We have a great relationship with 505 - we've always seen them as a partner rather than as traditional publisher. Although we self-published the PC version on Steam, it was 505 who helped us get the game in the hands of Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. In the end, as a developer, you just want as many people as possible to enjoy the game you've worked so hard on! We're really happy to work with them again for Wii U version. NL: Do you have plans for any original projects on the Wii U? JK: Sorry, there's nothing for us to tell you right now!
^^Cool stuff! Just got Revelations, and I'm really considering double dipping for Lego Batman 2.
Looks like EA is also giving unprecedented partnership with PC
EA's also now on full damage control with regards to developing Wii U games.
Dude tell me about it. It's a shit storm over in the Xbox forums. It's about time that storm passed here. People are actually giving Wii U complements now. It's blasphemy!!!
That's fucking hilarious. Gotta love EA.
Xbox one is even worse than Wii u.. I really didn't even expect that.
I guess people can now stop bashing Nintendo for now since Microsoft is in the hot seat.
The M$ bashing will lighten once games are shown. Right now, the ONLY thing that has people up in arms (including me) is really that online DRM check. I dislike ANY console that requires an online service to use it or it's games (unless MP). It's why I haven't bought ANY DLC nor XBL/PSN games. The nonremovable HDD is fine since it can use external USB 3 HDDs in addition. With that being said, I ain't buying an X1 for quite sometime from has been revealed so far (but it's early). My thought is, M$ will TOTALLY back down due to the shitstorm if it continues. There is no way they can get this type of buzz early, it continue, and they go through with the same plan. This shit has even FANBOYS ready to switch to Sony in droves and I don't blame them.
It's most likely shareholders have stepped in or Disney have told EA that they are putting SW games on the U whether they like it or not.
Then this issue is probably going to resurface for a lot of people once we find out that, "Mass Effect 4 isn't coming to the Wii-U." Or a few popular multi-platform games aren't going to be on the system either.
