Im getting a glitch about getting ban.
So I'm getting a weird glitch today about getting banned for like 20 minutes 2 or 3 times. what is happening to my account? can any mod or admin please fix it? I got banned and unban like 3 times today. and still happening.
Your forum chart looks fine with no warnings, notes, or any short term bans of any sorts. It might just be an odd case. Have you tried logging off, clearing your cache and relogging in?
A lot of IP addresses near your region are banned because of adbots, that's probably what you're seeing. I suppose I'd suggest using a static IP address instead of a dynamic one
So i got this ban glitch again recently.
Not a glitch, you're jumping in between IP ranges that were blocked due to abuse.
Im using same IP same internet connection and broadband. really dont know how it is happening.
We've been receiving a substantial amount of spam recently from Pakistan so we've put up barriers for certain IP ranges. We apologies for the frustration this may cause.
can you please fix my account because this is still happening to my account.
You seem to misunderstand how it work. When you connect to the internet, you use a IP that your ISP give you, which most of the time is a dynamic one. After a certain delay, which is set by the ISP, you get assigned a new IP from the database of the ISP (usually they keep a certain range for a certain region). What's happening is that, like ThyNameIsMud said, GT blocked a few IP address range recently because of spam and unfortunately these IP are in your range and used by your ISP. When you see that you are banned is because your ISP assign you a certain IP that was banned on this site, it doesn't mean your account was banned. The only way you can fix this, like Ochi suggested, is getting a Static IP instead of a Dynamic IP, which you can get by contacting your ISP. Also you can only blame the spammer in your area using the same ISP as your, GT is only protecting themselves from spammer, which unfortunately affect you. Your PC IP isn't the one you use on the internet and it will never happen, your ISP is using your IP in is database, through your modem, to give you a certain range of dynamic IP that work on the internet.
I did set up static IP and i also log in to my cousins home who live on otherside and have entirely different broadband and still facing this problem. Is there any other way??
You sure about that? The IP you have setup on your PC is not the one your connect to the web. Your ISP assigns you an IP. You can check if you got a dynamic or a static one. Visit the link, write down your IP. Reset your modem/Router and see if the IP is the same.
