What you can do with your additional domains

Park Domain

Parked Domains allow you to "point" additional domains to the website you use as your main hosting account. EG If you signed up for a hosting account with JustHost.COM and you then purchase JustHost.NET you can "point" the .NET domain so you will be able to reach your website (JustHost.COM) when entering (JustHost.NET) into a browser.

To setup a parked domain in cPanel, select 'Parked Domains' under the 'Domain' menu  and enter the domain name you wish to park in the 'Create a New Parked Domain' form.

Redirects

You can redirect your new domain name to any website or web page on the internet. This way you can make a page with a long URL accessible by a page which has a shorter and easier to remember URL.

To setup a Redirect in cPanel, select ‘Redirect’ under the 'Domain' menu , find your new domain in the drop down and choose the destination you want to redirect your new domain too.

Addon Domains

An addon domain is a separate domain that is hosted on your primary domain but it appears as if it is hosted on its own account. This will be like having a totally new website and domain name hosted from your existing hosting account.

If your signed up for hosting with “MyDomain.NET” but then you wanted a totally new website and purchased the domain "MyNewWebsite.COM" you can add "MyNewWebsite.COM" as an addon domain, and use folders on your primary domain to upload the websites content and functionality. Then if a user types "MyNewWebsite.COM" into their browser they will be taken to the new website who’s content is hosted under a specific folder under your primary domain.

To setup a parked domain in cPanel, select 'Add-on Domains' under the 'Domains' menu and complete the form as follows:

New Domain Name: the domain you wish to add

Subdomain/FTP Username: Whatever you put in the this field will be the folder that is created under your primary account. It will also be the default username for mail and FTP.

Password: your password
