Oh Nicki, can't you and Mariah just get along? The rapper's tune from her new album re-up, "Hell Yeah", is brimming with lyrics about her gig as a judge on American Idol, and fellow judge Mariah Carey better watch her back.
In Nicki's second verse, she spits the following rhyme:
"Okay, I'll take it, sign on the dotted line / But I'm quick to the check a b**** if she outta line / Shout out Mike Darnell and Nigel / Why these bums so mad that the queen on Idol, huh?"
Nicki refers to Nigel Lythgoe (the executive producer of American Idol) and Mike Darnell (the president of Alternative Entertainment for Fox), so it's clear that she's rapping about becoming a judge for the hit talent show. And it does look like Nicki takes a little lyrical jab at Mariah: if Ms. Carey ever steps out of line, Nicki won't be afraid to call her out on it!
