Nate Ruess Wrote Out A Set of 'Grand Romantic' Lyrics for Us

For the song 'Great Big Storm' off his debut solo LP.

After more than a decade spent playing the role of front-man, Nate Ruess has gone solo. The singer, best known as the lead-singer of alt-pop group fun., released his debut solo album Grand Romantic on June 16th. One of the album's stand-out tracks is "Great Big Storm," an anthemic song with dramatic lyrics about persevering in the face of despair. "Everything falling down around me / But now we're holding our own / And won't let go," sings Nate on the song's chorus.

To celebrate Nate's solo debut, he took time to write out the lyrics to "Great Big Storm" for us, creating this one-of-a-kind piece of lyric-art.

Here he is in action.
