Somebody in Miami don't sound too thrilled about the forthcoming 'Miami Vice' silver-screen remake starring Colin Ferrell as Don Johnson's Sonny Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Philip Michael Thomas' Rico Tubbs...
There is a scene in season two of 'Miami Vice' where the Human Beat Box from the Fat Boys is humoring DTs Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs on a corner. Well of course, fatty’s really pushing Dade County cush. From his perennial shotgun in Crockett’s “Ferrari,” Tubbs gleams the badge and chubs scarfs down a joint of crippie with the throaty finesse needed for a @!$%#-log. Force the gear to the present and the allegory is clear. Director Michael Mann has the badge. Miami’s citizens are being forced to gulp down his deplorable, unneeded revision. Sorry Michael Mann, nobody wants to see this movie.
