Still learning but would like to see an option on the Stocastics Study to smooth it out. Instaquote has a couple of choices with their Stocastics. ie: fast or slow. Thanks for you consideration.
In response to the above message, Scottrade Elite works perfect with dual monitors. Support for dual monitors is built into Windows...no special drivers needed. Get a program called ultramon to complete your setup.
Great video. It should be required viewing for all Elite users. I'll give you five stars for that one. There is a lot of capability in your charting tool, very impressive. I didn't know you had an option in there to display dividends. Very cute. What I need you to do now is explain the theory behind each one of those "studies" you offer. (but I suppose I could do my own homework on that)
It sure would be nice if you could make these charts handle options. Right now if I have an option listed in my quote grid, left click on it, and try to pull up a chart - I get a blank chart with the unending message: "Requesting data for ...." You guys charge a lot for trading options, yet the tools aren't as good as those for stocks. Strange.
I never really did understand how that linking feature works, yet it seems to have the unique ability to tie many different features together. Maybe you should do a special video on that.
If you're interested, I've got a job for your "educational gal". It would be cute if you could somehow turn this instructional video into an interactive on-line course. Fancy tools are only good when you know what they're for, and are comfortable using them. Want some justification for taking on a large project like that? I contend that the better users know how to use your system, the more trading they're going to do. (Of course this new video was an important step in that direction, thanks again.)
One last comment. I love these tools, and I want to display more of them on my screen. Sometimes I think about getting a larger monitor, but I'm already running 1920 x 1200. Sometimes I wonder if I should venture into the area of multiple monitors, and if Elite can actually handle multiple monitors. (I assume that is a driver trick, that it shouldn't be a problem for Elite, but I'm not sure.) On the other hand you have tabs at the bottom of Elite that can switch between various custom screens that I can create. The only problem with that is that fresh data is not populated into inactive screens, so they're not useful for up to the minute trading. I'm sure there are bandwidth limitations on your end for not doing that. On the other hand most serious traders are probably already running with broadband, so the bandwidth shouldn't be a problem for most end users.
