MARMARIS, Turkey - Two ferries braved rough seas Thursday to evacuate 4,500 Chinese workers from Libya's eastern port of Benghazi, but high winds to the west left hundreds of Americans stranded on a docked ferry in Tripoli.

There are very few nations around the world that have not been almost entirely plundered by the global elite. When the elite speak of "investing" in poor countries, what they really mean is taking control of the land, water, oil and other natural resources.

Between cynicism and hypocrisy lies the 2,000-mile U.S.- Mexico border. America is raising a wall in the desert to separate Mexican drug exporters from American drug consumers, to separate Latin American peasants who will work for low wages from the Americans who would hire them.

After decades of progress, hate is on the rise across America. At rallies, on television, and across the Web, racism and race-baiting has crept back into our public discourse. Against that tide, we call on all Americans to stand for the values that have made our country great.
