ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- A judge has ruled that a former Somali prime minister who has been living quietly in the U.S. for the last 14 years can be deposed in a federal lawsuit alleging he oversaw war crimes and other abuses against his own people.

WEST PALM BEACH — After a tearful Veronica Martinez denied forcing two Honduran sisters into the sex trade in Palm Beach County nightclubs, a judge sentenced her on Wednesday to more than seven years in federal prison.

Last Friday, the Kansas Supreme Court suspended Kansas City attorney Chauncey M. Depew from practicing law for a year for, among other depravity, leaving a note on an administrative assistant's desk that read, "I want to lick your butt."
