Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), often a critic of conservatives, defended Ann Coulter's right to speak at University of California-Berkeley.
Warren shook her head when CNN's Jake Tapper recalled former Gov. Howard Dean (D-Vt.) telling Coulter she had no right to spread "hate speech" in public.

Coulter's speech was blocked by the university over safety concerns following rioting that took place when fellow conservative Milo Yiannopoulos tried to speak there.

"Look, Ann Coulter has just gotten a much bigger platform because someone tried to deny her a chance to speak," Warren said.
"My view is, let her speak and just don't show up," Warren said.
