Liberals melted down over President Trump's expected announcement that he will pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement in some manner.
Trump tweeted this morning that he will make his final decision soon. His concerns about the deal include its harmful effects on jobs and the country's economy, which would not reflect his message of "America first."

The president previously called climate change "a Chinese hoax," but later said he was joking.
The Paris deal was signed in 2015 by almost 200 nations. The non-binding deal commits nations to carbon emissions cuts and increased clean energy, goals many have struggled to meet.
Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein weighed in on her party's main interest, warning that "people will needlessly be forced to deal with - to die from - the ravages of extreme weather, droughts, famine, forced migrations, spread of diseases, and wars over access to land and water."
European leaders made the case for the climate deal during Trump's overseas trip.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Trump's attitude towards warnings about climate change were "very difficult, if not to say very dissatisfying."
“The times in which we could completely depend on others are on the way out," she remarked.
During their visit last week Pope Francis gave Trump a copy of his encyclical on climate change, which the president promised to read.
“That's not how it works. The Americans can’t just leave the climate protection agreement. Mr. Trump believes that because he doesn’t know the details,” European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called the possibility "a stunning abdication of American leadership, and a grave threat to our planet's future."
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer condemned the decision as well, saying it would place the planet and country in jeopardy.

The new Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez had strong words as well, calling pulling out a "global embarrassment."
"We shouldn't have to wait until Mar-a-Lago is under water for President Trump to care about the consequences of climate change."
Former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders chimed in saying the country should avoid a "horrific mistake."

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, said he will leave the president’s Strategic and Policy Council of business executives if Trump backs out of the Paris agreement.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry urged the president to think of all the "grandkids" who will have to live with his decision.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said he would sign an executive order keeping the Paris agreement in effect in his city.
