President Donald Trump on Thursday sent out a series of tweets following a report that special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating him for obstruction of justice.

Trump said what's happening to him is "the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history," and he slammed the "phony" allegations about his presidential campaign's possible collusion with Russia.

On "The Fox News Specialists," Mike Huckabee said the Russia probes - and the related leaks - are only happening because people are trying to "discredit and delegitimize" the Trump presidency.

"This is as close to a coup d'état as going to see without the use of weapons," Huckabee said. "That's what I believe this is about."

He added that all these "illegal leaks" about the Russia probe come from anonymous sources.

"Let's ask ourselves: Why is it happening? It's happening to discredit and to completely distract Donald Trump from being president of the United States," Huckabee said.
