CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta is becoming increasingly unhinged, Sean Hannity said in a monologue last night.

On Monday, Acosta confronted White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer over the Trump administration's decision to ban cameras from some press briefings.

"Over the past few weeks, CNN has really made great strides in solidifying their position as one of America's premier fake news networks," Hannity said.

He said that one of the key players behind that is Acosta, who he called "arrogant," "combative" and "whiny."

"CNN's White House darling is really starting to become unhinged," Hannity said.

He said that Acosta's mission is not just to get cameras in press briefings, but to drag down the Trump administration.

"It appears that Acosta is very much in line with his colleagues at CNN - led by Jeff Zucker - who are using fake news now as a political weapon against the Trump administration," Hannity said.

He said that Acosta may claim to be an unbiased journalist, but he has an extensive history of trashing President Trump.

He pointed out that Acosta was forced to delete a tweet claiming that Trump didn't visit House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) in the hospital after he was shot at a congressional baseball practice.

He added that Acosta also called Spicer "kind of useless," and he aggressively confronted Trump for "attacking" CNN.

"Instead of digging for truth and trying to get information for the American people, he's just digging at the administration, clearly with an agenda," Hannity said. "Instead of looking for answers, Acosta, he's looking for ways to damage the president, prop himself up."

"He'll do anything in his power to prevent the president from implementing his agenda. That's not good for you, the American people."
