'It's a Political Decision': Obama Blasts WH Over Ending of DACA
Professor Jonathan Turley reacted to Attorney General Jeff Sessions using some of his past testimony in explaining the need to rescind the DACA program.
Quoting Turley, Sessions said that when President Obama made the "blanket exception nullifying a [federal immigration] law he simply disagreed with," he started down a slippery slope that could lead to the "legislative process becom[ing] little more than a pretense."
Turley, of the George Washington University in Foggy Bottom, D.C., said Sessions indeed kept with the spirit of his words.
"I was very critical of the unilateral decision taken by President Obama," Turley said. "He asked Congress for the DACA program and was unable to get it passed."

Turley said Obama then "took the option he [did] not have" and ordered the legislation through his executive power.
He said the issue with the rescinding of DACA is that it is Congress' job to make law, not the president's.
