Laura Ingraham blasted the impending Congressional omnibus spending bill as a "legislative scam" and Capitol Hill's "March Madness."
Ingraham said that, instead of funding each government department via its own bill, both parties cram everything into a giant "boondoggle."
She said it normally expands the federal budget and creates partisan debate based on "poison pill" add-ons that each party rips the other for adding.
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) said there are more than 160 "poison pills" added by Republicans, which Ingraham translated as things Republicans find to be must-have amendments.
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) recognized such, and said "ominous" should replace "omnibus" in the bill's name.
Ingraham said both parties are at fault, since Republicans failed to add defunding of Planned Parenthood and a reversal of DACA.
However, a "disguised earmark" for Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) remains in the bill, in the form of appropriation of a billion dollars for an underwater rail tunnel between New Jersey and New York.
