"MediaBuzz" anchor Howard Kurtz said Thursday the media is showing selective outrage after comedian Samantha Bee called White House adviser Ivanka Trump a "feckless c---."
Reacting on "America's Newsroom," Kurtz said Bee's comment is a "shining example of viciousness" but there has been "no uproar" against TBS to this point, compared to the "Roseanne" show cancellation just days ago.
"It's the worst word in the English language that you can use to describe a woman. ... Instead it's being reported as, 'Wow did you see what Samantha Bee said?' The media's outrage against Roseanne, which is justified, is kind of very selective and I'm not seeing it against Samantha Bee," he said.

ABC faced immediate calls to fire Roseanne Barr for a racist tweet about former White House aide Valerie Jarrett. The network cancelled the hit sitcom Tuesday.
Bee made the vile comment on her show “Full Frontal” in response to the president's daughter posting a Sunday morning photo with her young son. Bee called it the "second most oblivious tweet we’ve seen this week," calling out Mrs. Trump for not doing anything to stop her father's immigration policies.

Ivanka Trump was criticized in light of reports that the Office of Refugee Resettlement lost track of 1,500 immigrant children in the last three months of 2017.
Bee concluded her monologue with a sexual innuendo about the president and his daughter.
"He listens to you! Put on something tight and low cut and tell your father to f---ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes," said Bee.

UPDATE: Bee apologized for the comment Thursday afternoon:
I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night. It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.

Kurtz later noted that CNN's Brooke Baldwin denounced Bee's derogatory comments.
