I've seen this before. It's the Red Tide. R after R after R after R. It happens on nights when the pulpit turns out its voters with threats of eternal damnation for those who don't vote for the Right Candidate or the Right Issue.
Sen Richard Lugar (R-Ind.) isn't the first mainstream Republican to be driven from office by a right-wing primary challenger, but his primary defeat last night is arguably the most shocking -- and says the most about the radicalization of today's Republican Party. When Utah Se …

Redsfan made some of the most intelligent comments about the new health reform bill that have ever appeared at Newsvine. You certainly know how to do your research.
Hi Redsfan,
I've just written an article and I personally think it's pretty good. I'm trying to get it publicized to Newsvine Live and wanted to send it to my friend list first and to those who I enjoy their comments on other seeds. Please stop by if you like.
Title: Say what you want, Obama is a fighter
Thank you in advance for any comments.
Sincerely,
I agree that not all pork is bad. But ANYTHING to bribe politicians is. Some of the special interests? Let the only ones interested in a certain item pay for it! We can't all agree with all that our president is doing, but we have to agree he is for the people rather than the money. No matter what he tries, there is always someone against him. Both party health reform bills have similar wants, and President Obama is trying to get something that can be agreed upon. Give him a chance to clear up corruption the way he has. NO ONE since Abraham Lincoln has done so much for the country. Unemployment is high, yes, but it isn't the first time. Without our president, unemployment wouldn't be extended. I know, because I am unemployed over a yr, with little hope of working again. I am 60
Couldn't have summed up my reaction to Obama's grace under fire myself. That is not arrogance. " I'm the decider" (i.e. it's my bat and ball!) was an example of arrogance - smug smile and all. Obama is sincere and asking the stone face rigid republicans in that hall to bring it, and work together with logic and reason, with a little compassion for struggling Americans! Good luck with that...
I just wanted to thank you for seeding the article, "My husband's other Wife" it is a beautiful story that touched me deeply. Again, Thank you, keep up the good work.
your friend,
Marg
