Veterans for Peace has drafted a Declaration of Impeachment using nothing but excerpts from the Declaration of Independence (plus a few words in parentheses). It reads as follows, and should be read at picnics and protests on the Fourth of July:

It's Independence Day weekend here In the U.S.A. I have just came back from a two week sabbatical in the "arm pit of Indiana", Camp Atterbury. First of all, I would like to wish every one a safe and fun Independence Day.

I'm peeved. With a capital eeved. And not peeved like you would be if someone took a crap on your pillow, peeved like you'd be if someone took a crap on your dignity!!

We have all seen it. The day you log into newsvine after being gone for a week. You look at the conversation tracker, and have a heart attack. My tracker read something like 400 the other day, and now is reading 357.

I wanted to do a post for the Arts section of the Vine, and I thought I'd try posting a "mini art exhibit" with several of my photographs along a certain theme.

While I was sitting in a chat room with three other people in it, I had an idea. What if we had an organized weekly chat session within the Newsvine Community?

The Global Voting System is a way to bring democracy to the world, giving everyone a voice... and it uses a ranking system just like Newsvine!

Evan Hanson writes: A new word is rippling up through the blogosphere: It's called "freedbacking" and it's generating some buzz among software developers looking to find new ways to connect with users and glean feedback on their work.

Newsvine vs. Digg 3.0

In its first few weeks of testing, the new system of Vineacity has proven to be a better model than the previous Positive Feedback %. We think that most would agree that the six measures of Vineacity create a more well rounded image of a user's conduct around the site.

This is an attempt at organizing my articles my way, dividing them according to subject (as the list of articles grows, I will probably need to add categories, or sub-categories).

1. Avoid alliteration. Always.
2. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.
3. Avoid cliches like the plague. (They're old hat.)
4. Employ the vernacular.
5. Eschew ampersands & abbreviations, etc.
6. Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are unnecessary.

We've already seen a couple of fantastic pick 'em games sprout on the Vine, but can Newsvine tackle the greatest fantasy sports game of them all?

With the results now in from the smashing success of the 2006 Relay For Life in Grove City, Ohio Team Newsvine is off to a great start to make a global impact in areas that can really make a difference for those in need!

As I was commenting on an article on the vine, I began to wonder "How much time do people spend on the vine ?". It seems like some people spend a lot of time on here. But just how many people do was my question. So I remembered the beauty of polls on Newsvine and here I am.

The new version of Digg, popular social bookmarking website, has been unveiled. Now that Digg allows for a broader range of stories, Newsvine may be up for some serious competition.

We all know there are far more liberals on the Vine than conservatives, it's no secret. On every single poll some 80% choose what would be considered the more liberal option.

I've been here on Newsvine for over three months now, and it's been a ton of fun. From the almost weekly debates to the tons of informational seeds, I've had a lot of interesting experiences.

There is no “I” in team, but there is in community.
If you want to succeed greatly then become a part of something bigger than yourself, and seek its great success.

Well, after a long evening and many an hour in the sun, the 18-hour 2006 Relay For Life in Grove City, Ohio has come and gone. So how did Team Newsvine do when all was said and done? Not too shabby.

Web 2.0 is the new fairly old buzzword flying around on the Internet for a while. O'Reily defines Web 2.0 as using "the Web as a platform" and "harnessing collective intelligence".

Which do you use?
I will admit, that I still use dial-up, but I am thinking of switching to Roadrunner. Mainly because the little pterodactyl that pops out of the side of the monitor to etch the Internet in stone for me is having trouble with Ajax.

I've been a member of Newsvine for awhile now. Since 1/2006 according to that nifty little thing below my name that shows my Vineacity (a measly two), articles posted, and links seeded.

Easy! Stop making Newsvine into Newswhine!
Maybe you should make special sections specifically for:
Abortion,
Bush,
Iraq,
Al-Queda,
Global Warming,
Evolution.
And don't feature those discussions on the frontpage!
