header-challenge: Horror

newsvine-photographers, flickr, front-page, header-challenge

Photographers, we are looking at assembling a new theme for the front-page header. For this first header project, we are accepting photographic submissions on the theme of horror. Seven of those photographs will display on the group front page for the last seven days of October.

The deadline is October 21st.

This group project will utilize this Flickr group. You may also connect with other group members on this article. The Flickr group is invite-only and the discussion board is only viewable to members. If you'd like to join the group, please request an invite.

Yup - anyone submitting photgraphs should join the group and send their horror-themed images to the Flickr group. They will go through an approval process, because not all images will be suitable as a thumbnail (nothing to do with quality, just recognizability).

The moderators of the group will approve, they also have the ability to peruse other photostreams and request to add. All the mods of the group should be able to send invites - etva, HollyKl, rottlady.

For non-Flickr people - I have started a nomination thread in the group, all nominations should be embedded in this thread - all group members are able to nominate in this thread. I threw in a couple nominations already.

I should also add that all images being submitted to the pool should have 'horror' as a tag - it's not important right now, because there aren't many images yet, but once we get full, we'll need the ability to search.

I'm in the process of sending out invites to all the Newsviners I think are in an active in Photographers ... I think 95% of my Flickr contacts are/were Newsviners, so I might miss some. (NVM - I have to start over... going home first.)

Ben, it's weird that the invitation was sent to an old email address I no longer use - I just happened to open it because google and gmail would not open.
