Listen up, producers! blip.tv is happy to announce some exciting new features.
Say hello to your new Android audience - all 130 million of them! Starting today, all new uploads embedded off-site from blip.tv will support playback on Android, reaching a potential 130 million total devices. How’s that for reach? In the upcoming weeks we will be adding Android support to our on-site player as well.

Next up, new “IFrame” style embeds have arrived. These embeds are now the default that viewers and producers will see when sharing and embedding videos off-site. IFrame embeds let us serve up the best version of your video possible and support not only Flash, but iOS, Android and more with the same embed code.

And as if all that wasn’t enough … starting today, we’re making the upload process even simpler. Now you only need to upload ONE video file and we’ll take care of the rest. All source/master files uploaded through the producer dashboard will automatically be converted to LD and SD quality files for playback in our Flash player, as well as iOS/Android devices and set-top boxes. Talk about one-stop shopping. As always, if you have a Pro account we’ll automatically perform HD and optional MP3 conversions for you, too.
All of this is part of blip.tv’s commitment to providing you the best tools and support to reach the largest possible audience, so you can focus on what you do best: producing the best original web series.
Stay tuned,

Eisley performing “Memories” at the RELEVANT Magazine Studios.
Excuse me while I cry.
How are they so god damn incredible?
Like for serious. Stacy opened her mouth and tears appeared. Instantly.
livfersure’s endorsement didn’t make you click play? Really? Are you made of stone?!?
If you’re not made of stone, you’ll probably enjoy the other two songs Eisley performed for Relevant, too: Come Clean and Ambulance.

My blip page is so SWANKY now!!!
Also, they are featuring me on the homepage at the moment! EEEEE!!!!
Swanky, indeed. Go watch!
Congrats to Girl Parts for winning the Audience Choice award at this year’s ITVfest!
GIRL PARTS: Three sub-par actresses living with a former child tv star in Los Angeles. How they all decided to live together is not important, it’s how they haven’t killed each other yet that’s impressive.

We’re excited to announce that Derek Dodge has just joined blip.tv as our Director of Social Media. Derek will be managing all things blip.tv on Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr (lots of blip-ers will still be posting to our Tumblr, but he’ll be managing it).
Derek joins us from CNN, where he was the Social Media Producer for CNN Domestic, including managing #CNNtv during the Royal Wedding and #CNNDebate during the recent NH Presidential debate. He also managed @CNN and trained CNN producers and anchors on all things social media.
At blip, we’re committed to making it easy for people to discover the best in original series. You’ll now see us increasingly use social media to put the best shows in front of you. Here’s to you finding a series or two or 20 that you love, thanks to his efforts. And, welcome to the blip world, Derek!
It’s hot here in NYC. Hot hot hot. 103F at the moment. At times like this, our thoughts turn to beer.
But what to drink?
As for us? After work today, we’ll crack open some delicious local ales and lagers from Brooklyn Brewery and Sixpoint. Yum.
What about you? What’s your favorite beer? Is there one, in particular, that you crave on a hot summer day?
Remember Dr. Katz? This is not that. But it’s close. It stars Jonathan Katz. It features highly stylized animation. And Mr. Katz spends a lot of time having funny conversations on the phone.
If you like, there’s more. If that’s still not enough, here’s another separate project featuring an animated Jonathan Katz saying funny things on the phone.
So. Many. Harry. Potter. Episodes.
UPDATE: More good stuff!
Another week, another blip on blip!
This week, Annie sits down to chat with Revenue Operations Manager, Yamini Natarajan. While Yamini might look calm and collected, she reveals that she is a fierce warrior on the paintball field.

We released a new episode archive module on the show pages of blip.tv today. Check it out in the middle of this page.
When we relaunched the site last month, many viewers complained about having to scroll through the episode archive to find older episodes of the series they follow. The new module solves for that by offering four times as many episodes per panel; pagination rather than scrolling (and speedy, pre-rendered pagination at that!); a “skip to” option that lets viewers jump to whichever panel they want; and perhaps most importantly, a search feature that allows viewers to use keywords to find the episode they’re looking for.
We also replaced our old Flash player controls on the episode pages with slicker, more modern HTML controls. See them in action here.
Plenty of other fixes and features went out with today’s release, but the two above are the ones you’re most likely to notice. Hope you like what we’ve done. Keep the feedback coming as we’ll be optimizing the new site continually from this point forward every two weeks.
Like we said when we launched the new destination, this is just the beginning.
blip on blip #60: This week Annie chats with Liz Hoffman, Account Executive on the East Coast Sales Team. She explains what she likes about working at blip, then takes us on a walkthrough of our new office in NoHo. Look out for special guest appearances by Evan Gotlib, PhotoBombing Aaron, and Grumpy Paul!
The featured show this week is I Made Out With Him Anyway. Based on the stage show with the same name, this web series looks at dates gone wrong. The producers of the show - Nick, Evie, and Kirstin - asked their fans to send in their worst dates, and then they re-enacted them. Annie’s personal favorite episode is Date #3, check it out!

I Made Out With Him Anyway. Directed by Nick Hoffa and starring Katie Lowes and Adam Paul.
Solid concept, well-executed. Very entertaining. A quick introduction to a true story via webcam chat, followed by a highly polished reenactment.
