I am both a fanfiction and language enthusiast, so combining the two will be great fun. I would like to add the general 'requirements/expectations' one can find on beta-read profiles and usually, it boils down to this: actually put some effort in your story! If I get a story with a typo in the darn title or you don't have the time to add generic punctuation or capitalization, I will not bother with checking anything. It doesn't have to be perfect, that's what I'm here for, but I just want to get the idea that you spent some time on your story.

I'm not sure what else to add here, but I'll leave this piece of text here, copied directly from my profile, so if you've read it there, don't waste your time reading it again (unless you want to, I'm not holding you back)

My favourite fandoms are: "Miraculous Ladybug" and "Star vs. the Forces of Evil". For both of these series, I am an active member of the wikias and a huge fan in general, hence the reason I'm on this website at all. I'm not very picky when it comes to stories I like. Preferred genres are: fluff, romance, humour and crack (though the last one usually requires little beta-reading).

Then of course, the thing a person is judged for the most here: ships: For Miraculous, anything Love-square related, with MariChat as a favourite, but also DJWifi and other ships, as long as it doesn't interfere with the love-square. As for Star vs., I'm a little more picky, because I only really like stories with Starco in them. As for disliked ships: for Miraculous, anything with Luka or Kagami is just... no. You keep your paws off of my love-square. ;D. For Star vs, the only ships I'd want are Starco, Markapoo and Kellco. The ships that someone pulled out of the deepest depths of Tartarus (IMO): Tomco, MoonxToffee and Star x pretty much anyone.

I don't really have a disliked genre, but I generally avoid Angst. I just need an assurance for a good end and it's fine, but still. Also, character death... my heart can't take that, don't do that to me. (If you want to know how bad I am with Angst: I was sick for a few days (coincidence, feelings?) while reading the story 'Starfall', which, mind you, has a good ending.)

In terms of ratings (K, K, etc.), anything goes really. I really don't mind some M or MA (even though that's not supposed to exist here, we all know it does). I am heterosexual myself, but F/F is fine too. And though I've never read it, I'm not opposed to M/M either, but generally... nah, thanks. (If your story has a (little) scene that's M/M, it's fine. If your entire story is M/M, then I'd like to politely pass.)

My likes are already in the textbox above, but I'll see strengths here as: "What do you know more about that most others, so you'll be able to not only grammar, but also fact-check stories?" and to that, I'll list a few of my fields of interest.

1) I am a HUGE tech-savvy and nerd. I've built computers, programmed and have reasonable knowledge of computer-game mechanics.

2) In school, for six years now, I've had to learn quite a lot of Roman and ancient Greek mythology. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE stories based off of either of those and (have to) know a lot of fact concerning the gods, heroes, society and everything else around those time periods.

My weakness, if I have to pin-point something, I'd probably say that my weakness comes from one of my strengths as well: being (bi/multi)-lingual. English is not my native tongue, meaning, on one hand that I'd be expected to have a little trouble speaking a different language than my native one, even though, personally, I don't think I have any problems with speaking English at this point. But, on the other hand, it's also a strength, because, having learnt English from books rather than hearing, I am less prone to making mistakes a lot of native speakers make. No "you're" "your" or "they're" "their" mistakes, because I had to learn it spelled and only later realized that they're pronounced exactly the same. For those reluctant to have their story read by someone who's not a native speaker: I've been learning English for 8 years now, and I still am, and speak the language every day, so I think I should be fine.

Another weakness, might be that, thanks to my native tongue, sentences like the one you're reading right now (with a lot of commas) or combined words that should not be combined, might be read over by me, because they look fine in my eyes. This shouldn't be an issue, however, if I'm not the person writing.

As talked about in my preferences up above: fluff, romance, humour and crack. Oh, and smut too. For Miraculous, pretty much every ship is fine (see Not My Cup of Tea for ships I don't like), but for Star vs, I'm more picky: pretty much only Starco for me.

Stories that consist of pure Angst are just... no thanks. Hurt/comfort is usually fine, because it quite often has a happy ending. If you have angst in your story, that doesn't automatically mean I won't beta-read your story, but I'd like a good ending, please... Character death is almost always a "no thanks".

Disliked ships: (for Miraculous:) Anything with Luka or Kagami X Adrien or Marinette. I don't know, I just don't like them. (for Star vs.) Anything that isn't Starco, Markapoo or Kellco. But there are a few that I deem to have originated from the deepest depths of Tartarus, like Tomco or MoonxToffee.
