Well, as a beta I will basically run through your story countless times the way I do with my own and pick out what needs fixing/changing/editing/et cetera. That's pretty much it as far as beta style goes. If you know you're not the best writer in the world, I would appreciate it if you gave your stuff a read-through before you send it my way. However, if you think your English teacher would give your rough draft a pass then I'll be more than happy to look at it for you.

Grammar/Sentence structure. Advice on unintentional incidents of OOC actions. Vocabulary/Diction/Word choice.

Reading too fast or not close enough. But that's why I try to read works I'm editing at least five times on average.

I have virtually no preferences on stories. Just about anything is fine with me: any genre, any pairing, whatever. Just as long as the story isn't PWP, I'm good. I'm cool with stories featuring smut, but I'm a creature who thrives on plot. I've only ever read a couple stories without plot that I enjoyed, and strangely enough they didn't have lemons either. lol So, I guess my only preference is that you think your story is a genuine diamond in the rough. Really though, I'll happily edit just about anything.
