I've been reading and writing for years. I love helping people deepen their knowledge and strengthen their writing. I've had exposure to a wide array of films, books, mythologies, histories, games and others. I take writing seriously, and if you're asking me for help I presume the same of you. I will explain certain things to help your writing as a whole (not just a specific chapter or sentence).

I'm good at finding mechanics errors like spelling, punctuation, grammar. I'll also help with flow, description and narrative voice. If we're working in a fandom I'm unfamiliar in, I will likely default to your knowledge. If I spot weaknesses I'll try to help teach you to avoid them in the future instead of only patching them now. I also try to keep a strict schedule and will reply promptly, if your story isn't back within 4 days then email me and I'll probably have it ready for you.

Although I like reading comedy and mystery, I'm not so good at writing them. I'm also a stickler for proper grammar and punctuation. I make suggestions, but they may come across as "do this" because the phrasing is simple. I will do this a LOT if you use passive sentences, because even with style differences an active sentence is better than a passive one. Take my comments as educated opinions and use them to grow.

I'll read almost anything, I particularly enjoy humor, drama, introspection, and often write action. Most of what I read fits into 'canon'. I also prefer to work via email, docX is not as reliable or convenient as a free email account, but I am flexible.

I prefer stories that are true to the original, though it's not hard to make a good divergence or AU and I always love a twist. There are two style/grammar points that will make me drop your story: Source Mixing where dialog and actions for multiple characters are jammed into one paragraph, and Backpedaling where you depict the reactions to something before you describe the cause generating those actions.
