I will definitely serve you best if I know a little about what you are writing about. If I do, I am pretty good at making sure things are in character or even that that event you are alluding to actually happened (if that's your plan :) ) I can get pretty busy, considering my recent graduation from college, but I do my best to be there for you and your stories.

I CAN be a bit picky about what stories I choose to beta. If I don't think I'd be the best fit for you, I will let you know. It's nothing personal, it just usually because I don't know enough about the topic.

If you would like me to beta for you, when you private message me, please let me know what it is about (e.g. Harry Potter - Harry and Ginny's growing relationship in the year after the war). Essentially give me a little teaser so I know what I'm about to get into. Just like you do when you add the story to the site, I'd like to know the characters involved, a little about the plot, whether you plan this to be a one-shot or not, and the category (Harry Potter, etc)

I've always enjoyed editing papers and stories and my friends have trusted me enough with their possible grade to choose me to proofread. I also enjoy getting into the story and the characters so I am able to tell if your story is lacking depth or if something is out of character.

I'll be honest...Commas. I hate 'em. They hate me. I tend to insert them everywhere. I was always taught that, in writing, you should put a comma where your would pause if you were speaking... And then I didn't listen when they apparently TRIED to teach me otherwise. This is not to say that I will throw commas into your story like they're nothing. This is mainly an issue when I write, not while proofreading.

My second weakness would probably thinking I know enough about your topic. I know a little about a lot and a lot about a little. I may have put down that I'd be willing to beta a specific category, but I might turn you down because I don't know enough.
