I really love this premise. I've always thought that with Robin being 13 and others being several years older than him that some issues would arise. One thing being his combat ability, since he is younger. But! Never underestimate a bat! **Evil laugh**

This is fun. The Team doesn't actually know what Robin is capable of at his ultimate best. :) (And some of the Leaguers have probably forgotten, if they knew in the first place.)
I happen to be a fan of both the headcanon that 1) Robin spent a decent bit of time following Batman around to places he shouldn't be growing up, which includes the League (when they weren't Doing Dangerous Things -outside of Gotham-) and 2) that he took advantage of first meetings and Bat-paranoia induced information collection to 'defeat' each of the original Leaguers in single (surprise/ambushed) combat (at least temporarily, and with Batman right there? If they had been actual enemies they'd have been finished off, ... probably).
Especially because this headcanon involves mental images of a very tiny (in full costume!) Robin using Surprised Leaguer Of The Day as an obstacle course/ training dummy, basically. XD Getting Superman wrapped up in his cape, pissing off Green Arrow, turning Aquaman's pool into jello/interesting colors, tripping Flash, bonding with J'onn in the kitchen over Oreos and sharing embarrassing stories of the others... XD
He won maybe half as well as he did because even after hearing about the first couple times they still don't expect/believe it, and hesitate somewhat fighting an (very small) eight-to-ten-year-old (even if he is a sneaky, flashy, colorful ninja). :)
And because he knows almost as much about them as Batman, but he doesn't and can't fight quite enough like Batman for them to anticipate-he's too small to take and deal the same type of hits, but a born aerialist and very flexible, so he uses his own blend of Batman-combat and circus-aerialist-skills, to be our beloved cackling ninja boy. They haven't really seen him fight, and this is my favorite theory as to why they stopped bitching at or about Batman letting such a little kid on the streets as a hero/sidekick.
He demonstrated he can take them down (when they didn't know /quite/ what to expect), and he's probably has developed at least a dozen more ideas/plans since. Bats plan for everything, after all. Even if they (mostly) still think he'd need to take them off-guard.

I LOVE THIS STORY! I have always loved that the Bat and the Bird could keep up with and/or defeat anyone despite not have a superpower. I'm very excited to see how Robin is going to beat M'gann and Conner or if one of them will manage to outdo my favorite little bird. Please don't make me wait long to find out . . .
