This is brilliant! I love the idea of Tony saying no to being head slapped all the time before Gibbs even gets a chance to get started on that shit. And - Tony being smart enough to recognize that Gibbs isn't going to stop that nonsense, just chooses to get out before he gets sucked into a seriously sick environment. Excellent!

This is my very favorite type of NCIS story, and incidentally the rarest: Tony takes no shit from anybody. Good on you.

I'll have to think yes he did, because I loved the heroic, unthanked Tony of 'Requiem'. But this way, Tony got to keep his brain cells intact, moved properly up the promotion ladder as someone of his quality deserved, and had enough of a social life to have a wife and children.

A on the no headslaps. I love a Tony that puts a stop to that ridiculousness (that also happens to be assault AND illegal!) And in this case, Tony has the good sense to cut and run before he even actually gets sucked into the quagmire that is the MCRT.
Fantabulous "what if" story that gives Tony a life and career and the respect he deserves.

Really liked the character development and interaction between Tony and Gobbs, also McGee. I'm sorry this ended, it would have been a great basis for a full story!

It was a good what if. One thing if Tony's sister in law was named Rachel does that mean he married Kate?

Great story I like that Tony ended up with Metro PD I always thought of him as a cop at heart.
I liked how you ended it, to the imagination will someone save Gibbs and Maddie.
