Maria/'tachi snuggles were adorbs. And it's so telling how he's willing and trusting her enough to actually be comforted. I reread the whole fic as a refresher and Itachi has evolved so much. It's been slowly building up but since the poor guys emotionally stunted no wonder it took him this long to accept and acknowledge his feelings. Well at least existence of feelings lol. Maria has grown up a lot too, and I'm loving her more and more.

Kakashi is the bestest. Not sure if the If the Icha Icha books were a win (oh gawds the secondhand embarrassment! I squealed so suddenly one of my cats ran out of the room LMAO) but A for effort and just being there as a true friend would. That said, ZOMG DID HE ASK HER OUT ON A DATE!? Tehehehe. Ohohohoho! ADORBS. For realz I know there's some heavy plot afoot (and it's really neat too, so many possibilities) but I could legit be content reading awkward 'tachi and playful Maria grow their budding romance.

Author-sama! Thank you for not capping the story! It would have been really rushed and uncomfortable and unfulfilling to end it in two chapters. I'm in love with this story. You write Itachi so well and Maria is so sweet. It's like she could be my friend. Heck I have friends who've struggled with their lives one's passing or illness. My grandma had Alzheimer's so I understand Maria's pain and avoidance - we are only human. I'm glad that she's trying to be stronger and I'm rooting for her! Physically? Meeehhh lol but I (and others) can see her mental and emotional attitude is maturing so I hope it goes well! I shed a few tears when Itachi was carrying Sasuke back to the village. Im so glad that they've reconciled but Im a little anxious to find out how this changes things. Especially since WOAH! PARADOX present!Itachi has no qualms with meeting future!Itachi (unless genius doesn't count? Confusing!)

I'm getting Tsubasa Chronicles vibes with Tobi wanting Maria so I REALLY hope future!Itachi and Co. can keep her safe from his clutches! (TRC, GREAT manga),
