If you are still accepting prompts, how about an AU, where Alain is a super secret spy of the ... CIA or something, and he is sent to take down a target, not knowing that it is Mairin. So during his time undercover, he gets to know Mairin and falls for her (this is before he knows that she is the target). I know that it is strange and not much to go on, but I would like to see where you take this.
