I was going to comment about how I never thought about Janeway and Chakotay and the 70000 light years to find each other part. But then Chakotay quite literally voiced my sentiments. I love the world you've created here.

Being able to write/read a story in this limited 3rd that you've done, is such a gift. It's so effortless how you've strung together these series of events to give Ayala (and us) just enough of the picture to make our hearts hurt. That scene in the tube with KJ/Chakotay... I had my hand over my mouth for the last 2 chapters. The emotion you've evoked in both of them is so raw and real. And for Ayala, a man who clearly knows what it is to be in love, to have someone love you, he sees it plain as day and just wants that happiness for his friend, i ache for him too.

I've been reading this series of stories all afternoon, pacing myself, now the sun is going down and i'm not sure I can stand to read the rest but I'm not sure I can wait either.

God, i love this. (had to type that cause i just said it outloud). Your Ayala / Chakotay banter, the care that you've so carefully woven between them for the last three fics. It's getting to me. I love your Ayala more than any other Ayala I've ever read.

I recognize how difficult it is to write a chapter like this one with the banter over the com while one character is actually DOING something else. It flows so easily, wasn't confusing or awkward at all and I enjoyed every word as it pulled me along. I gotta stop typing now so i can keep reading.

Uuh I loved Ayala in chapter two

I so enjoy your take on Ayala and Chakotay's deep friendship. This is a great culmination of the arc you have built up to this point. Really pulled it all together in a meaningful (and emotional) way for me.
Love the mantra "Work hard, work long, work hurt, work hungry" and their inside jokes and subtle references to Mosaic. A very rich tapestry to their friendship which reads true and casually surprising.

I loved this story! I just got into the Voyager fandom this year and have been searching for good Janeway/Chakotay fics. You're a great writer and I've really enjoyed all your work.
