This story is great. Your decision to write your OC in the first POV works out really well and finds a new layer to the episode. Your OC provides the unique perspective without taking anything away from the main characters.

I've come to the conclusion that you're a genius. You've written something from a perspective so unique, and incredibly in depth. A rich character and an entire story, full of emotional depth and plausible dialogue, all within this story. I loved the imagery as well as the symbolism, and I also liked the parallel, even if it was unintentional: the dispatcher is just a viewer of the grand show, just as all of those who appreciate the show itself. This story is just incredibly clever, and I'm absolutely head over heels in love with it. You've done such a good job, and I couldn't find structural errors or even grammar errors; there was nothing in the means of your literature that distracted me from your writing. Phenomenal job.
