I like how it started on a more lighthearted note, reviewing the way their relationship developed as seen in their use of his nickname. I like that Castiel first thought that perhaps they were trying to take away his identity as an angel only to later realize that they actually gave him and identity as their friends and even family. That at the end, it becomes poignant. I do feel that Castiel was afraid that Dean was lost to him forever, in a parallel to Dean seeing Lucifer stabbed Castiel and seeing castiel's Wings burnt into the ground a couple seasons ago.

So you broke my heart just a little bit here, good job on that. I love the description of Cas thinking through what it means for him to be given a nickname by the Winchesters in the greater scheme of things, it makes a lot of sense and is really in character!
