aww... it seems so innocent and "exciting" at the same time. Aya is acting romantic, and though that should be OOC, you make it seem too natural that now, i'm convinced that Aya actually can be compassionate towards someone who's not his sister. (perhap's i'm exaggerating. i know Aya is kind.)

anyway, really lovely story.

you kept me hanging till the last... *sniffle* I wanted to yell to them "Just tell what you feel already!" but you made it so slow, so longing, so, so sweet, and made me wish there was more, much much more...^^

Meh! This fic delights me. :) You're right, Aya and Ken do seem to have a sort of reverse in characterisation, but it works out, really. Inquisitive Aya works well in that, it's kind of like seeing how different people ecome when they're simply alone with the people they trust most. Not so many walls to hide behind.

So, it all works out.

Very well done, I might say. You have a way with words, and I really like the analogies you hold with the leaves. There's a lot of firm detail there that gives the story meaning. I must say that one of the finest examples of mature diction I have seen in such fanfiction are your two opening sentences:

"There was something strangely fascinating about the arrival of autumn. For one, death became beautiful; the dead leaves and petals scattering to the ground held a sort of compelling brilliance."

Wow, this is so amazing! I loved it! (and ofcourse Aya) Umm...ur making me feel so guilty for not practicing, but seeing as its snowing now, I'm not gonna. I enjoyed the flashbacks, thought they were real cool and the weird comparisons between Aya and Kase. And yeah, Aya is well, OOC in terms of the amount of talking he did in this fic - but if he hadn't, then it wouldn't have been as interesting! Great story! Loves
