Yay! Glorfindel is the best! I would like to see you continue it, if possible.

Don't mind me, I'm just rereading this. The Strider characterization is right on the mark. You've got the whole "Ranger" persona down pat. I really like the dialogue. In the stories that use Tolkien or semi-Tolkien style, the speaking lines tend to take away from it. Yours don't. Hurrah! : )

Just the fact that this is a Glorfindel fic is enough to make me read it... and your writing is quite good. It's difficult to tell where Tolkien ends and you begin. I can't say much about how you handle the AU this early on, of course, but it looks promising.
Just one suggestion: You might want to translate your Elvish at the bottom of the page, not mid-sentence. I've been associating that with Sue-fics too long not to find it annoying.

Wow, this is exceptionally well written, very much like the books. I can't wait to see you expand on Glorfindel, but uh, who of the Nine Walkers does he replace?
