I'm so glad to see another reviewer (jdp - admired the way you honestly and eloquently expressed yourself) NOT LIKING this story because it's too sad. I'll never read it again. Once was too much.

That's so sad! But in a way, it seems fitting.

I cried when I read this story. I'm glad this story was the length it was because I don't think I could have stood it if it had been longer. Hogan and Kinch! Kinch knows Hogan so well. he knew what Hogan planned on doing and wasn't going to let Hogan die alone. I only hope that he was able to take out as many Gestapo as possible. And the best partof it is, Hogan made sure Hochstetter KNEW he(Hogan)had beaten him in the end! Great story although a sad one!

A very moving story, not really the end everybody wanted I think, but still a very very well written story.

An all too possible way of closing down the Traveler's Aide Society. Not one we'd like to see, but it's something that could happen.

Oh my God, Marty, this one really stunned me, I had tears in my eyes when I realised what Hogan was planning to do, and that he would actually carry it out. I kept thinking, "No...no!" And Kinch staying too, this is just amazing and completely believable...I can only hope Hochstetter was taken up with it...I'm glad you stopped to write it...but I won't see the end of the war the same way again.
