O, a new story, and it sounds intriguing! I had to skim very quickly, but hope to come back for a slower, more pleasurable reading.
I usually avoid AU (I have little enough time to read even the "canon" stuff) but this is quite promising, for everyone sounds in character at first glance (my biggest quibble with AUs is the out-of-character characters. Am I making sense? I gave up coffee again and my brain is missing it dreadfully.)

OOh, I love this new story idea. Very AU, but intriguing nonetheless. I'm fascinated by the way that you are weaving several canon threads together in order to let your story take shape: the silent conversations of the Three, Frodo's seeming domination of Gollum, Galadriel's history...

This is such an original idea - I love it! And as usual, you have managed to build a well rounded storyline where we are drawn in not only by the actions unfolding around us, but by the characterisations and smaller, more intimate moments. The Pippin winning the war anecdote has to be one of the best Pippin stories ever :)

Finally it's online your new story! And I must say I'm overwhelmed. There are so many things that are so... well... typical you might say. Frodo looking if Sting is shimmering or Pippin... being just himself in his own marvelous way.
I must admit that the last conversation between the Elves and Gandalf sent shivers down my spine. How far did the dominion of the Ring really go? It's sad that Tolkien has never been able to tell us. The better it is that you're doing so.

My, my. That's intriguing. You always come up with the most brilliant ideas for stories. I can hardly wait to see where this one goes. As always, your hobbits were fantastic (sigh), and I really like the elves. I wonder what will happen when Sauruman catches up. . . .

Shirebound, this is wonderful. I think this might be your best yet. Beautifully written and well, you know I have a weakness for AU and Frodo in the hands of the unscrupulous, haha. I can't wait to read about what happens next. What a neat idea!
